Iman Olujimi, also known as Mama Iman, is a elder birth Doula, Massage Therapist and Birth Assistant. She has over 20 years experience as a Doula and Massage Therapist. Iman’s journey as a labor and birth doula began in 1994 through DONA and A.L.A.C.E. She also completed Midwifery studies in 2016 through the Matrona Correspondence course with Whapio Diane Bartlett. More recently, completing her certification as a birth assistant through Black Sisters Midwifery in Florida.
Over the years, she has studied and work with many of the homebirth midwives in the Philadelphia area.
Iman works tirelessly with birthing families to ensure that they are well informed and educated in all areas of pregnancy, labor and birth. Working with and empowering birthing families is truly a calling for Mama Iman. A calling and a service which she considers sacred and a calling which she never hesitates to answer.
